Sappho's Cup

This goblet, with a classic profile and design, measuring 30x19 cm, has in its composition various minerals of gemological interest, although all of them are microcrystalline varieties of quartz. The most obvious is the almost circular and wide bowl, with a shallow depth and 15 cm in diameter. Carved from a piece of pink and white agate. From top to bottom, two series (round cabochons) of blue sapphire can be seen. The stem of the goblet, in which the cabochons are set, is covered with borders and ornaments from the Malpica collection, and the two lower oval and rectangular bases have the design of the Alhambra collection.

Measurements: 30 x 19 cm. Weight of the set: 4829 grs.
