Boabdil's Cup

A 33 cm rock crystal vessel, 10 cm high. The upper edge and the lower circle are ribbons with ornaments from the Alhambra collection, four red coral cabochons and two green chrysoprase cabochons alternating. The coral of some cabochons is red and others white-pink. What is most striking about the cup is the support that joins it to its base: three pairs of lovers, two of them with figures of a man and a woman with a strong contrast in skin colour, ARS-19, in a clear allusion to love between races. The other figure of a man and a woman, ARS-4. The set of three sculptures weighs 1119 grs.

Measurements: 35 x 27 cm (height). Weight of the set: 5157 grs.
