This piece, which also has a mythological connotation, is not based on Ovid's work, but on the long poem by Shakespeare. Venus desires Adonis, who refuses the relationship. In the end she achieves her goal, but he leaves her the next day to hunt a wild boar, despite the goddess's premonitions about the imminent danger. The wild boar kills Adonis, and the whole is an excellent allegory of love and pain, which always go together. Both figures in a loving attitude lie on a bed of immaculately white rock crystal, 18x20 cm. On another plane, a white gold wild boar awaits its moment, on a very different quartz rock, on which some rough emeralds can be seen.
